Day 2, Class outing to Oxford and Stratford

We all left early and took a coach to visit the towns of Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon. In Oxford, I tagged along with Dr. Welsh and Ms. Wright to visit Christchurch college at Oxford University. We got to see the infamous staircase featured in the first Harry Potter film, the dining hall which served as a model for the Hogwart's Great Hall, and the doorway that was the inspiration for the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. We also saw a painting hanging in the dining hall in which the subject seems to actually turn his head from one side to the other as the viewer moves from one side of the room to the other. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't tried it for myself, but it was fascinating.
Day 1

I Made it Here Alive!

Well, I survived the flight over relatively unscathed. I even made my way to the dorms all on my own. Which is fairly remarkable considering I was pretty much asleep at the time.

I made it to my room, at last, and collapsed into a light coma for a few hours.
